Tracey Lande, Founder

Tracey is the Founder of Destination Carmel (DC) and has over 20 years of experience in technology marketing communications and destination management, both on client side and industry. She started DC determined to bring a different style to the destination world.

At 24, Tracey launched Destination Management Consultants (DMC), a corporate destination sevices company based in Carmel by-the-sea, and serving Silicon Valley. For two decades she produced leading edge customer engagement programs, CEO Summits, technical conferences, strategic offsites, and incentive programs for brands such as Hitachi Computer Products, Broadview (acquired by Jeffries Investment Bank), Oracle, Royal Dutch Shell and the Washington Post– in addition to dozens of startup and growth stage technology companies. 

In 2004, Tracey moved over to the corporate side and began helping technology startups prepare their brands for the future. During that time she worked with organizations such as HP, Intuit, Microsoft, and Motorola along with hundreds of brands to produce integrated marketing programs from brand development, content strategy/design, to program execution. She's spent well over a decade mastering skills in strategic marketing and communications which has given her a uniquely differentiated skill-set in both content and execution.

Today, through Destination Carmel, she helps organizations define what success looks like, and helps them build successful programs to support their strategic objectives–whether it be developing strategic off-site presentation materials or securing a top analyst for a board presentation, or bringing in trending and contemporary resources and activities to (re)inspire tribes. 

Tracey splits her time between Carmel where she was born and raised, and in San Francisco, where most of Destination Carmel's clients are located.

Jason Lande, Partner + Basecamp Technical Program Lead

Jason leads Destination Carmel's Basecamp programs. He is a Certified Scrum Master with deep knowledge in program management, (re-)engineering, transformation, and optimization of cross-functional teams. A veteran project and program expert, Jason thrives on challenges and strives to help teams collaborate and communication transparently, intelligently, and across functional groups with ease. With roots in Engineering, he thrives on challenges and excels at helping teams collaborate and communicate with transparency, intelligently, and across functional groups, with ease. Jason holds a B.S in Computer Science from Stanford University. 

Specialties: Program management, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban project management, cross-functional team collaboration, project and product roadmaps, process (re-)engineering, transformation, and optimization, risk management, KPIs, dashboards, executive dashboards, business analysis, team building, release management, requirements definition and tracking, hands-on project management, driving teams to release software product on time and to spec. Atlasssian,  JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, CA Clarity, Agile, Scrum, Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Elizabeth Ross, Partner + Customer Success

Elizabeth is a Partner at DC. Elizabeth serves as a strategic advisor to community partners providing counsel that helps the community leverage their skills and experience to create marketable products and services for DC clients. 

For the past ten years, Elizabeth has led event logistics for resort destination wedding clients. Earlier in her career, Elizabeth held roles leading sales at USA Host a destination management company and Michael's Catering, a Monterey Bay catering and events company.

Elizabeth serves as the Chief Planner for Element Events, a Monterey Peninsula luxury wedding and event planning consultancy. She also serves on the Carmel Art Council and is a proud member of the Monterey Bay Event Planners Association, an exclusive group of qualified and experienced event professionals serving the Monterey Bay area. Elizabeth received her BA in Communications from California State University-Monterey Bay.
